Up for auction are two original daguerreotype photographs. Each one has the original seal intact. The photos are housed within half of their original leather case. Each is circa 1850's. Given the materal that I found with these daguerreotypes, I believe the woman and the young girl are from the Boston area. No identification information was found with the daguerreotypes. The one of a young woman is the larger daguerreotype, 1/6 plate. Case size is 3 1/4" by 3 5/8". The image is in very good condition. She has rosy red cheeks. The image is better that what my digital camera can show you. The smaller daguerreotype is of a girl. Case size is 2 1/2" by 2 7/8". The image is in very good condition. She has rosy red cheeks.
