Circa 1871 Gorham Sterling Aesthetic Tea Coffee Set Cherubs Magnificent Sterling 4 pc Service Cherub Putti Finials Offered is a Magnificent circa 1871-1872 Gorham Sterling Silver Aesthetic Tea Coffee Set with Cherub Putti Finials. The 4-piece set is in excellent condition with small dings from use over the years. The Cherub finials have exceptional detailing and wonderful patina accentuating the design. The top band on the pieces has a grapes & floral motif with grapes, leaves, acorns, flowers. The set is heavy gauge sterling weighing a total 89.6 oz on my postal scale. (2540 grams or 81.666 troy oz). The teapot has a "D" date mark of 1871 and the other 3 pieces have an "E" date mark of 1872. One side has a fancy monogram.
