Striking c1885 Abilene Texas Real Estate Plat Map Print Great Gift! This seldom seen map of Abilene Texas was published around 1885 by Louis C. Wise, a real estate promoter and developer. The Texas and Pacific railroad had come through only a few years previously and efforts were being made to make Abilene a significant city and to get the county seat from Buffalo Gap.This limited edition reproduction map is beautifuly drawn with a striking Logo and the printing was done by the renowned firm of Clarke & Coates in Galveston The sample picture shown is at very low Internet resolution and reduced in size. It does not even begin to show the detail and quality of the actual map.
