Payment C1890 FRENCH ART POTTERY LONGWY BRONZE PATINA LAMP NoRE is a very pretty French art pottery Longwy and bronze patinated white metal lamp from circa 1890 or so. The lamp measures 26 1/2 inches or 67 centimeters tall. It has a hexagonal base with classical revival decoration. The body of the lamp consists of a column of Longwy art pottery ornamented with floral and leaf motifs in the Longwy style imitating orientalist enamel-work ornamentation. The colors are shades of turquoise, other blues and greens, as well as pinks, lavenders, and yellows. The bronze patinated white metal frame overlays the Longwy pottery column with a garland of flowers on either side of the column. Rising on either side of the column are footed bars that become classical revival winged female busts, one on either side, supporting the top of the lamp. The lamp has two sockets at the top. The lamp works. It is otherwise also in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or other damage to the art pottery of the base, and with no damage to the bronze patinated white metal part of the lamp base.
