**RARE**C1890-VICTORIAN 14K ROSE GOLD FILLED WEDDING BRACELET-28gm I am so thrilled to offer this a Exquisite and RARE Antique Victorian 14K Rose Gold Filled Wedding Bangle Bracelet............ a VERY RARE piece and an exciting find ! It was a part of a pair, and the other was sold some time ago. It has beautiful Etruscan cylindral links that are hand carved. The centerpiece is fascinating and is High Victorian in design. . It is in wonderful antique condition , and is a soft antique rose gold color with STUNNING carvings.. and due to its condition would be a wonderful gift for a loved one. for a wedding gift.. or engagement.. or any special occasion. This is truly one bracelet that you wont want to miss ! I redid the photos as it just didnt do this item any justice at all.. It was sunny outside today and you can see the bracelet much more clearly. HISTORY This is a wedding bangle bracelet, and they were often worn by the Victorian bride, and given as a gift of good luck, or for faith hope and charity..this is truly a nostalgic piece from a bygone era. These are becoming extremely rare, and they command very high prices on antique websites. It is Circa 1890 by design and styling It is stamped for 14K GF on the clasp and it is gold filled and the center medallion tests positive for solid 12k gold and the embellishments also. Antique rose gold filled is considered to be equivalent to todays low karat gold , and wears just like solid karat gold of today. I was informed this was made by R. L GRIFFITH of PROVIDENCE RI Since 1890 and since no longer in production makes this a highly sought after piece .A VERY RARE HEIRLOOM BANGLE..and So Ornate ...the links alternate from plain to carved and the carvings appear to be like a brick structure. very unique indeed ! The front medallion is solid not hollow and has a Pansy on the front that has a White Gold center with deep rose gold leaves and the background is very soft antique rose gold.. ... a UNIQUE one of a kind piece.. and so detailed... . This style of bangle is highly prized amongst collectors as they are becoming very scarce. High quality examples like this are very collectable and usually stand out from the others. DESCRIPTION & SIZING . . It is so VERY RARE to find such a piece like this..these bracelets are so beautiful to wear ...the design and embellishments are STUNNING ... . A Very old and beautiful heirloom indeed, and one you can pass down to future generations. . The band is a very soft antique ROSE GOLD color, that buttery hue with a hint of rose gold and it is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry. The feel of this bangle is fabulous, it has that ultra smooth look and feel when putting it on, that usually is associated with solid karat gold.. It is oval in shape and the inside measures just under 7" and would fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist perfectly.. I have a 6 1/2" wrist and it fits like a glove ! ..the band is 1/2" in width and the medallion measures 3/4" in size. It has an elaborately carved closing device .. attached by rings to the bracelet and it is an old tongue and groove closure which locks BEAUTIFULLY with a tight snap... It has a gold safety chain for added security..and the safety chain is so unique in that it is a BELCHER LINK style chain , and i rarely see these anymore and demonstrates it high quality of craftsmanship. This is a substantial piece and weighs approx 28 grams, which further adds to its appeal ! This heirloom piece has no dings or dents and is in FABULOUS antique condition! .....the outer surface is just so shiny . ANY DARK AREAS IN THE PHOTOS ARE SIMPLY REFLECTION ONLY DUE TO ITS HIGH SHINE ! The antique soft rose gold color isnt showing up well in these pictures., it looks brassy but this is so unique and shiny ... please check my feedback so you may bid with confidence..many of my regular customers do state the items are much nicer in person.
