1890 Antique dark brown ebony Missionary's rosary just for your pleasure. This is a very special rosary as it was from a friend who's relative is in the Order w this Missionary came from. The rosary is just so beautiful and gracious. It has a lot more then what you are just seeing on the surface. The skull next to the cross is a momento mori to remind us that we are not immortal only God is immortal. The length of this rosary is 21" and the drop is 7" with a circumference of 27". The center medal has the initials of the Blessed Virgin Mary AM for Ave Maria, and it is older to bring the age of the rosary to coincide with the c1890. The crucifix is heavier, and thick. It is 1 3/4" by 1" and has the inlaid ebony and silver washed brass exterior, and the Corpus is raised as well as the INRI, and the Starburst Nimbus is just perfect on this. The rosary has been passed down from missionary to missionary until now. It has found it's home with me the last 15 years. This is a excellent and very beautiful weapon against Satan, the rosary and the scapular. It is excellent and the beads will hold up under a lot of use, as you can see.
