All items shipped to the US will be well packaged and insured. Antique horn of plenty circa 1895. Purchased in Germany,but unknown origin. Sometimes referred to as a "Norwegian Drinking Horn", these are used to decorate entrance halls and mantels. Could easily be fitted with a glass insert to hold cut flowers. A really spectacular decorative piece. Measures 31-1/2 inches tall. The marble base is 12 inches in diameter. The metalware is mostly brass with some copper. The horn is a real animal horn. Decorative elements include a ram's head; lion's head; eagle with spread wings; and a young boy. The base has open scrollwork. A very attractive Art Nouveau asymmetrical design.
