7 1/4" (17 cm) high, circa 1895. Classic hand painted cobalt, rust, coral Oriental floral motif with polychrome. Great double gourd shape for use as decoration or for a small arrangement of flowers. Front and back painted with same scene/still life. Vertical molds seams on both sides. Stamped England on the underside. Raised BUDD marking and numbered 5619 5, also on the bottom. No chips, cracks, repairs or crazing.Please see its companion that I am currently listing. They would make a beautiful pair flanking a mantel or other space in need of a pair.From the estate of a very gracious doctor and his wife from Garden City, NY who eventually retired to a beautiful waterfront home on eastern Long Island.
