DESCRIPTION:You are bidding on this 15.5" diameter, punched metal music disc disk for play in the Regina Music Box, titled "Piccaninny (Picanniny,Pickaninny) Duet", from the Regina Company of Rahway NJ, with no visible patent date - probably 1893 though. Politically incorrect today, "Coon Songs" were popular fare in theaters, burlesque and minstrel shows. (Of course, this is just the music - I have no idea how ethnically insulting the lyrics were - do a Google search and you should be able to find them). Very good collectible condition - light age-related usage and storage wear, no serious visible flaws. NOTE: I have not played this or any of the other discs I am putting up (I do not have a Regina Music Box), BUT I will guarantee a "basic" level of playability - I am assuming a few notes or t may not register on these antique discs. If it does not work to your satisfaction, please let me know for a full refund. No reserve for this Regina Music Box collectible.
