I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have auctions, generally twice a month. You are bidding on a c1920 AC Williams cast iron Steamboat bank. These banks were produced from 1901-the mid 1930Â's A.C Williams, based in Ravenna Ohio, was a giant in the world of still banks from 1899, with the Domed Bank, through until WWII. They never resumed bank manufacturing after the war. The bank retains 90% plus of its original gold paint w/red smoke stacks. The detail is great and you can imagine it proudly chugging its way down the Mississippi river with a boat load of gamblers! It is all original with no breaks, chips, or repairs unless otherwise stated. The bank has a tiny chip in the round hole on top of the bank but hardly noticeable. The bank measures 2 7/16Â" wide x 7 5/8Â" long. It is listed in Moore Â's @ $500! I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus itÂ's fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970Â's, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Please ask any and all questions before auction ends.
