Nice, Vintage, c.1920s Zuni 15 Snake Eye Turquoise and Ingot Silver Bracelet------------------------------------- A thin 15 fine turquoise snake eye cabochon and ingot silver cuff, with 32 dropped ingot silver beads, detailed crescent stamp work on the shank.cuff bezels and polished, curved terminals for comfortable wear. The bracelet is missing one turqouise snake eye - - - which should be easy and inexpensive to replace with a small, rounded turquoise, or possibly contrasting gemstone (e.g. coral, onyx, mother of pearl) cabochon. The bezel for the missing snake eye cabochon is intact and flexible, for easy repair/replacement. Each fine, 'snake eye' turquoise cabochon is separated by two hand-dropped ingot silver beads; 32 silver beads in all. The inside circumference is 5 1/4âe, with a 1 âe, moderately flexible, gap. Beautiful ingot silver, single shank, with a 90-year, well-aged and fabulous silver patina. On both sides of the 15 fine, variegated, snake eye turqouise cabochons are expertly stamped crescents; their detail bold and clear through nine decades of use. The terminals are curved and polished to ensure a smooth and comfortable fit and wear. Very old, heavy (for its size) ingot silver. A cross-hatch mark on the reverse; probably added later; Zuni jewelry of this period was rarely marked. This c. 1920s, Zuni turquoise read more
