FYI: While we have more stuff then we know what to do with, from buying out the complete contents of estates. My husband and myself, just can not, help ourselves, we still go to every interesting, yard sale, flea market, estate auctions and tag sales we can. We spend hours, going through different sources, looking high and low for treasures that we like and you folks may have interest in. Since I sold the shop and moved all the inventory home, my house has become a disaster. I have been trying to sort threw all the stuff, but that can be difficult when one is disabled (back problems). Well when I got a call for something I have always wanted, a Curved glass Oak China Cabinet and t was two. I so was glad to take all the other stuff, that the man wanted to get rid of out of his parent's estate, since he was moving. Such a deal, but I had to take a lot of other stuff of, glass, pottery/china, iron etc. some quite old, antique/collectible and others just good general hold stuff. This auction is for GREAT, 1925 vintage Covered Tureen/Vegetable Serving Dish. Made of a White Semi-Vitreous/China, trimmed with 18 carat Gold double band and double handles. Bottom is marked K. T. & K over S------V over China over 25 8 2. This is the mark of Knowles, Taylor & Knowles of East Liverpool Ohio . Date marks to 1925. It is in Great condition for its age, NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs, NO nicks, NO crazing and NO roughness. I did note tiny dimples in the glaze. It is very hard to find any wear to gold, only a couple of tiny scuff/scratches noted on gold. Bottom measures approx. 2 5/8" high to rim, 7 ½" across rim, 9 3/4" across handles and with lid in place it is 4 1/8" high. Any further information or questions are welcomed and will be shared.
