Hello all!! 2007 is going to be an incredible year for auctions!! It will be a fantastic summer of cast iron collecting this year! SOME OF MY EMAIL LIST WAS ACCIDENTALLY DELETED, IF YOU WERE ON THE LIST AND ARE OFF NOW, PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR ADDRESS IF YOU WANT AUCTION NOTIFICATIONS! If you are not on my email list yet, I suggest you get on it, you don't want to miss out!! (Details below) T ARE 22 MORE ITEMS UP FOR SALE IN THIS AUCTION. I have banks ranging in age from 1880's to the 1950's. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these auctions so I'm picking up "extras" when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out t on Ebay. I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have auctions, generally twice a month in the winter months. My next auction will start Sunday May 24th and end on Sunday June 3rd. If you would like, send me your email & I will add you to the list & notify you when I have an auction. I ONLY us this info to send you info on my Ebay auctions, absolutely nothing else.
You are bidding on a "Save For A Rainy Day" (stamped at the coin slot) umbrella silver plated tin bank w/ original key. Made in the USA between c1930. Silver plated tin, it has some tarnish but will clean up to nice if you want to polish it, plate 95% intact. The handle unscrews to retrieve the coins. T are no cracks, chips, breaks, repairs or damage of any kind other than any stated. 2 3/4" x 6 1/4". In Don Duers Penny Banks Around the World #918, pg 114 with a value @ $100 - $250 in 1997!!! In Moore 's penny book #1033 @ $140 in 2000! I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it's fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970's, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Please ask any and all questions before auction ends. No refunds for buyer's remorse. Items are photographed and described accurately. YOU MUST CONTACT ME WITH IN THREE DAY'S OF AUCTION END OR I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION & RELIST.
