Dorokhsh Carpets are produced in the Dorokhsh hills in the Qanat region northeast of Birjand in Khorasan Province Iran. Dorokhsh Carpets are made with a Persian or asymmetric knot. The knot may be open either right or let. The foundation on the antiques is mostly wool but on 20th century rugs cotton warps and wefts are most common. Knot counts are fine, ranging from 120 to 275 kpsi. FRESH FROM ESTATE is this Authentic Decorative c1930s PERSIAN DOROKHSH RUG with a very rare Square size of 9x9.3 ft Majestic Finely detailed and woven Ivory floral center medallion pattern with semi open field with flowers both big on a Tomato Red field back ground color .......Colors included in this beauty are different shades of Blues and Greens,Ivory,Beige,Camel hair, Tan,Rose,Olive,Rust,Peach,Gold,Salmon and many more....Condition is one area which is a bit worn and has some foundation visible shown in pictures..The most gorgious Rug.. very exciting and majestic design rug which has to be seen to appreciate..
