C1930s HOPI PANG MOUNTAIN SHEEP KACHINA DOLL Up for auction is a vintage circa 1930s mountain sheep Kachina doll made by the Hopi Nation. Measurements: The doll measures 9 ½ inches tall to the top of his horns. Color & Design: It's hand carved from 1 piece of cottonwood root and polychrome painted pink, orange, red, turquoise, yellow, black and white in tribal elements and designs. Condition: The condition is very good with no major damage. T is minimal paint loss and shows signs of normal wear and use. Both feet, at the instep, and the right arm have been broken and re-glued long ago. The color and designs are strong and he displays beautifully. Markings: Not signed.
