LAVAR or RAVAR KERMAN north east PERSIA w these rugs were woven for the noble and wealthy.The naturalism of Persian rugs since the middle ages has been a subject of wonder for western travelers who mentioned it in their memoirs. The importance of the cypress (spenta maynu) in Persian decoration goes far back , up to the early Zoroastrian religion in which it symbolized imortality. It appeared in very many carpets under various forms and particularly in this example w it serves as a rhythmic theme in a design of extreme delicacy.................................c1930s Fine Decorative Handwoven PERSIAN lavar or Ravar Kerman ,with unique size of 2.5x4.10 ft Delicately woven medallion floral field almost alive with colors on a Royal blue background field....very interesting Border Pattern also known as Broken border pattern offten copied by french auboson rugs.....Aged like fine wine are these Exciting Natural wool Colors include Greens in many shades,Blues in many shades,Olive,Rose, salmon,Tan,Camel color,Peach,Apricot, Rose,Beige,and much more....... Condition is Perfect full pile as shown in pictures.
