Hello all!! 2007 is going to be an incredible year for auctions!! It was a fantastic summer of cast iron hunting last year. I have banks ranging in age from 1880's to the 1950's. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these auctions so I'm picking up "extras" when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out t on Ebay. I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have auctions, generally twice a month in the winter months. This is a tin Magic Dime REGISTERING BANK c 1930, t are two register windows on the front, one shows the dollars and the other the cents in the bank. Front of bank says Magic Dime Register Bank. Bank is like a new mirror on the front. Sides of bank are in great shape, the back has some tarnish. Side door on bank slides over the opening and locks with first dime inserted and opens when register reaches $5, it is at 0 and open right now. I didn't have enough dimes around to see if it works right but I assume it does since it is at 0.0. 100% original - no cracks, chips, breaks other than any stated. Pocket Banks by Bob Peirce pg 91, B rated $50 to $125 in 2002. You very rarely see this bank up for sale so grab it while you can! I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it's fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970's, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Please ask any and all questions before auction ends.
