We have for offer here a pretty Georgian mahogany bureau writing desk dating to the early 19th century. This fine example has a fall down front supported by pull out lopers enclosing a felt writing surface and numerous drawers and pigeon holes over a bank of four long graduating drawers being raised on bracket style feet. Each drawer has dovetail joints with brass plate handles and ivorine key escutcheons. The bureau is in good working order with no splits or worm with the only worthy note being a small chip to the shaped top over a pigeon hole we have photographed, but this could easily be replaced with similar or all four could be removed to be uniform and mentioned here only for accuracy If you have any questions then please give us a call on . Viewing is available by appointment. This item is solid and usable but is also old so is not ‘as new’ but is offered in very good condition for its age as you can see from the photographs.
