I have worked at an Asian Antiques store for 15 years, and now I am selling some of my treasures. This is a striking pair of Chinese famille rose vases. Each has two large panels. On one side is a boat made from a tree and its roots, with 8 people aboard. On the other side is a panel of Chinese characters. These two panels are transferware with hand tinting. All throughout the rest of the vase is fine raised famille rose details and hand painting, with three small panels going down each side separating the larger panels. They are very large, 18 inches tall and 8 inches wide. They are in very good condition with some discoloration and some small scratches in the transferware areas, but no real damage. The rims and base are in perfect condition. These floor vases would make a great display by a hearth, and will add to any room with Asian decor. Shipping is higher than usual since each vase will have to be shipped separately.
