ANYONE WITH ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, PLEASE EMAIL US BEFORE YOU BID. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!! 's your chance to own a very rare, 1860's C.A. Zoebisch & Sons, New York, Civil War Era top action rotary valved E-flat cornet in excellent condition!! This cornet looks plays and works very well!! This cornet is in extremely nice shape for it's age: no dents, only a few super tiny dings. Some past restoration work may have been done, we are not for sure. The rotary valves have new strings and respond accurately. The third valve is missing the rotational limiter plate which holds the two bits of cork. Our expert music repairman, has added a device to the valve that works great. This Zoebisch Eb cornet plays very well with the included Civil War era mouthpiece, but plays even better with a more modern Bach cornet mouthpiece. The intonation is very good, especially for a horn that is over 140 years old!! This Civil War era Zoebisch cornet is guranteed to be authentic. We have confirmed this with many vintage brass instrument experts and have also researched this instrument on the web and in the book " A Pictorial History of the Civil War Era," by Robert Garofalo & Mark Elrod(See pictures below). Perfect for the Civil War collector, Civil War reinactment band musician or any trumpet/brass player who collects vinatge horns. This beautiful instrument probably belongs in a musuem! Comes with a civil war era mouthpiece and a more modern Vincent Bach Corp. cornet mouthpiece. We will pack the cornet very securely in bubblewrap, surround the cornet in foam peanuts and double box it as well. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!
