Kit also includes new 'hoodless' bodysides to show off detailed, pre-assembled engine. Up for sale here is an O-scale (1/:48) pro-moulded kit to convert Tamiya's recently introduced 1/48 scale Dozer - which has a hydraulically-operated blade - into an earlier Le Tourneau type cable-operated blade. Be aware that whist Tamiya's kit builds a model of a Japanese Dozer, the prototype was actually a hastily copied version of a captured US Dozer - and so is remarkably close to a small Caterpillar . Scrape off the moulded-on 'KOMATSU' lettering from the Tamiya kit's radiator surround and you won't know the difference. This Cable Blade conversion is is the latest addition to the pro-moulded TRUCKS DELUXE range of highly detailed classic vehicle kits from BACKWOODS MINIATURES in England. Finished models built from these kits are also perfect for use in O-scale or On30 model railroading. Thanks to these models being light-weight, they make ideal flat car loads compared to heavy diecast metal dozers. Kit includes superb quality, professionally moulded resin parts designed for simple assembly using thin-type superglue. Brass wire is also included. Fully detailed step-by-step photo instructions guide the builder through all aspects of assembly. . Photos 1-3 show our demo model of the Tamiya dozer kit converted using the parts from this kit. Apart from the resin components used for the cable blade conversion, there are also new 'hoodless' bodyside mouldings provided which show off the detailed, pre-assembled engine included in this conversion. Alternatively, build the model without the separate removable hood to see even more of the engine. I should make it clear that it's only the Cable Blade / Detailed Engine Conversion kit which is up for sale in this listing. Purchaser must supply their own Tamiya 1/48 scale Dozer kit. Be aware the driver figure illustrated is not included in the kit - but he is sold separately, costing $7, to purchasers of the kit. Purchaser may simply request an updated invoice which we'll amend to cover the cost of the driver figure if they want to add the driver to their purchase. It's also worth pointing out that photos 4 and 5 show the ideal companions to this Dozer conversion - a pair of alternative tracked trailer kits. We offer stake-bed or dump-body type crawler-tracked trailer kits in pro-moulded resin costing UK£22 each. See separate eBay listing for these. These items are pictured just to keep you up to speed with other things we offer. Photo 6 shows yet another detail part we offer separately for the Tamiya Dozer. This is a moulded resin 2-part Ripper Attachment costing UK£9. The trailers and ripper are only pictured for illustration purposes, and to show how how these items ideally compliment Tamiya's Dozer.
