Antique Cairns leather fire helmet. I'm guessing around 30's to 40's. Has a wire showing at the back of the helmet. I am told this can be easily repaired. Eagle is bent where it hold the shield in place. The shield moves back and forth. This also can be fixed, but it adds character. There is also a small crack in the leather where the shield rests on the brim of the helmet. I cannot see what size it is, but I typically wear a Lg and it fits me fine. The helmet was in service in upstate New York, not sure of the town. Bourke shields move up and down, no cracks.
