Ladd Meets Murder in the Mysterious Orient!

Handsome Alan Ladd and beautiful Gail Russell grace this highly collectible, unrestored, folded, original movie poster from the 1946 film noir "Calcutta." This exotic tale of murder and mystery is an odyssey from India to China, w ultra cool Alan Ladd meets a rogues' gallery of grotesques and falls for the charms of luscious Gail Russell. The image is still striking with great artwork and brilliant color. The overall condition of the poster is good to very good (while I'm not a poster expert, I understand some flaws are allowed in this grading level). Most posters of the golden age of Hollywood have some wear and slight stains due to use in theaters. Tape and tape residue still add at multiple points. T are two slight tears w the folds intersect at the center of the poster -- on the letter "L" in Calcutta and above the gun at the edge of Ladd's lapel - 0.375" wide and 0.25" wide, respectively. These tears are hardly noticeable at a distance. T is one just-under-an-inch tear in the upper right corner, under the "N" in Orient. Nine pin holes. Multiple slight creases along the edges. A rare vintage poster like this one is hard to find in any condition. It can be restored to its former glory or enjoyed just as it is -- a relic of Hollywood's glorious past!
