For auction today is a vintage horizontal figural panel manufactured by the California Art Tile Company of Richmond , California dating from the early 1930âe(tm)s. My interpretation of the relief image is that it depicts the garden view of one of the early California Missions. The perspective is from the outside garden looking toward the mission structure. Detailed features include multiple arches along a covered walkway, a fountain, palm trees, a tile roof, large stone steps, shrubbery and a potted plant (perhaps a cactus) in a large clay pot sitting aside the main doorway. Interior highlights including sculpted doorways and windows which are details visible inside the arched walkway. This large panel weighs 9 pounds and measures approximately 16âe in length, 8âe in width and is 1âe thick. The surface of the panel is in great condition but could use a gently cleaning with warm soapy water. Please note that t are minor several chips along the edges as depicted in the photograph but none interfere with the panel image. As you know these panels are very unique, highly prized collectibles and are extremely difficult to locate. Please send an email if you require additional photographs or more detailed information. Domestic shipping is at the buyerâe(tm)s discretion. I can ship via USPS Express or Priority Mail, UPS or FEDEX. Insurance will be required. This panel will be nicely prepared for shipping including careful wrapping, padding, and double boxing. I estimate the shipping weight will be approximately 16 pounds. Good luck!
