Up for auction is a nice RARE set of pottery from The California Faience Company of Berkeley, California. This set includes a large floating bowl with flower frog. The bowl measures 10.5" across and 2" deep. The Flower Frog measures 5.5" across and is 5" tall. Both in excellent vintage condition with no damage. I can see a few production flaws in the low bowl, a few glaze pops. Medium use of the bowl with some calcium deposit. I have not tried to clean the bowl. This set is featured in the book titled " The Arts and Crafts Movement in California" "Living The Good Life". A fair reserve has been set for this auction. Thanks for looking! To us, MINT means that t are no signs of use or post-production damage. We will mention any obvious flaws or damage but expect the collector to be aware that most methods of production were not as advanced as they are now and items were sometimes less than perfect when they were made. To us that adds to the charm and authenticity of the item. WE ARE NOT EXPERTS, Please ask condition questions before bidding. Often times pottery items were never marked in-mold or the maker had a paper label. If either of these are not present Identification for all pottery items will be made from references books. This auction is a "no risk" auction. Meaning if you don't like your item upon receipt please mail it back within 14 days and I will refund your money less shipping charges. NOTE: I DO NOT GIVE PARTIAL REFUNDS. . So please ask questions BEFORE making your decision to bid. I generally take about two weeks to pack and ship after I receive payment, due to my work schedule.
