EXPRESSLY FOR CALIFORNIA". The tin carry box for the brass hand scales is painted in ORIG. BLACK paint, and has seen some use over the years, with wear to edges and small bumps in the lid and some gold gilt light in spots in the lettering, from extensive use. But to find these in any condition these days is a challenge. The BRASS HANGING scale itself is original to the box, however the weights are lacking from the small drawer that would hold same. AS SHOWN BELOW. We have not seen one of these for sale at any antiques shows or in shops or at auctions for about ten years, thus this is scarce in any condition it would seem.
