This is a rare complete set of three books on NATIVE AMERICAN BASKETRY OF CALIFORNIA by late Dr. Christopher L. Moser. The set comes in a decorative and very rare slipcase. These books have been out of print for quite some time and the complete set with the slipcase is very hard to find. The set contains: 1. AMERICAN INDIAN BASKETRY OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Published by Riverside Museum in 1989, this book accompanied the exhibit of Northern California Native American baskets in 1989 and 1990 at the Riverside Museum . This oversized (9 X 12) softcover book and catalog has 95 pages, and is profusely illustrated with 12 color plates, 20 maps, 55 figures and 181 photos of baskets, and bibliography. The book showcases 181 baskets from all 20 Northern California tribes (Hupa, Ainkyone, Whilkut, Chilula, Yurok, Karuk, Tolowa, Nomlaki, Wintu, Yana , Chimariko, Atsugewi, Achumawi, Modoc and Klamath). Detailed descriptions are provided for each illustrated basket in this collection, one of the finest books on basketry of this area. 2.
