Up for auction is a cute pottery peice from Caliente Potteries. This is a "Rabbit Cotton Dispenser" to quote the Haldeman "Collectable Caliente" by Held. This peice also holds an interest for Catalina Island Pottery Collectors. This is a cross over peice. The Bunny was sold on Catalina Island, the glaze was Catalina and the form Caliente. This Bunny is in excellent cabinet kept vintage condition. It measures 5 1/2" . It is shown in the "Collectable Caliente" book by Wilbur Held and in the "Catalina Island Pottery and Tile Island Treasures" book by Carole Coates Thanks for looking. To us, MINT means that t are no signs of use or post-production damage. We will mention any obivous flaws or damage but expect the collector to be aware that most methods of production were not as advanced as they are now and items were sometimes less than perfect when they were made. To us that adds to the charm and authenticity of the item. WE ARE NOT EXPERTS, Please ask condition questions before bidding.
