I am selling a Walthers F40PH HO scale locomotive that was originally in CSX Transportation paint, but I repainted it to become a replica of the San Francisco/San Jose/Silicon Valley Caltrain commuter rail line. Caltrain runs daily services between San Francisco and San Jose Diridon Caltrain/Amtrak/ACE Station, with limited service to and from South San Jose, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy during peak weekday commute hours and convenient connection to SFO Airport via BART at Millbrae Station and SJC Airport via VTA Bus 10 at Santa Clara Depot. This paint scheme is the more recent meatball logo one, and the road number is #916, named after California. There are headlights at the nose and the upper rear. The only two flaws, which are very minor, is that the number on the back right corner is a bit fogged out by the dull cote I sprayed over it, but it is still highly visible, and that the snowplow at the bottom front of the engine likes to fall off, but I have corrected both problems by gently removing the dull cote with water without spoiling the decal and applying Walthers Goo glue to the snowplow attachment; the snowplow can still be removed. This is a great engine to go with your train set if you have an Athearn Caltrain Bombardier set. The Athearn Caltrain rolling stock is for display only and is not included with the auction. read more
