1930's Cambridge Nude Statuesque Figural Compote The 1930's was The Cambridge Glass Companies most prolific years. They developed new colors and patterns like this stem line. These pieces are striking, and widely sought after. The Cambridge "nude" is characterized by a nude lady with her hands over her head, generally holding a bowl of some type. Her head is slightly tilted to the right with her hair falling over her right arm/shoulder. Her right knee is slightly bent. This entire piece measures 7 3/4" high. The dish the young lady holds on her head measures 5 1/2 " in diameter, about 1 1/2" deep and the base measures 4" in diameter. The bowl is amethyst purple. The base is chrome. It is in great condition with only a few very minor scratches on the top ring. It has the Farger Bros New York stamp on the bottom. A great addition to your collection or home decor addition.
