The Cambridge Glass Company manufactured this lovely antique set of candlesticks approximately between 1923 and 1926 - Pre-Depression - in their emerald green color. They are refrenced in The Glass Candlestick Book, Volume I by Tom Felt and Elane & Rich Stoer. They are pictured on page 64 and identified as CB-50 No. 1595 candlesticks. "Production dates unknown, but probably 1923-26." These were not reproduced or reissued in emerald green. In 1940 they were reissued in crystal only as the base for the No. 1595 candelabra. They stand about 8" tall with a base diameter of about 4". They have a stacked spool design for their stems. One candlestick is in pristine condition with only a large enclosed bubble in the upper portion of the base and some excess bumps of glass on the underside rim of the foot, completely hidden inside the candlestick base. These are manufacturing characteristics of the glass. The other candlestick has a rough area and an age softened small nick under the top rim (seen in last photo) and a heat check line completely within the glass in the foot which I have tried to show in the 5th photo. It also has a few little bumps of excess glass under the foot and a little shelf wear on the foot outside rim. They are both very clean -- no wax residue -- nice, clear transparent green glass. Brilliant blacklight glow! Packed with care to assure their safe arrival. They each weigh 1#, so the box will weigh 2-3 pounds when packed. Shipping gladly combined when possible.
