Presented for auction is this RARE vintage 1961 CAMCO,OAKLAWN 14”x5” SNARE DRUM Model. 701-EL This drum has its Original “Cloud” logo badge, all 8 original “Tuxedo” lugs, both original triple flanged hoops, and a white painted interior (which dates and places the drums point of origin as Oaklawn). When I originally received the drum in 1998, the original Black and Silver Lacquer finish was in bad shape due to several old stickers that had been placed on the drum. Also the snare strainer was age worn and would not stay tensioned. In order to make the drum playable, I had to scrap the unit for an after market piece. A few of the badly rusted tension rods were replaced then as well. The old lacquer was then stripped and the drum was refinished to its present beautiful natural finish. Note that the “Cloud” badge WAS NOT REMOVED during refinishing nor was the original white painted interior. Item is USED and sold AS IS. No Refunds . Item will be shipped via UPS within 48 hours of receiving full payment. When the item is shipped I will send buyer the tracking number providing I have their contact information.
