CGB#155C CAMPAGNOLO BICYCLE ASSEMBLY STAND "Supporto Montaggio Ciclo" extremely rare! circa 1970s The Bicycle Assembly Stand , Campagnolo part #1102, as it was officially known in English, was developed for use by team mechanics and bike shops. It could be set up and broken down in seconds, stored and transported easily in vehicles, and was extremely functional for working on racing bikes in the 1960s, 70s, and into the early 80s. The stand first appear in Campagnolo Catalog n.15, which came out for the late 1967 trade shows. The stand (then just called "Bicycle Stand") last appears in Catalog n.17a, which came out in late 1975. These stands were always expensive, mostly saw pro-mechanic use, and were not marketed to the general public. They were expensive and rare. The stand was designed to be used on racing bikes of the era (60s - 70s, and functional thru early 80s) – bikes with 1 1/8 inch (29mm) downtubes, cable guides that go over the top of the bottom bracket, and normal bare shift cables (no housing) that goes down each side of the downtube (from either the friction shifters, or from the bar end shifters); obviously designed for bikes that used Campagnolo equipment and normal Columbus or Reynolds tubing.
