A scarcer small ‘C’ over ‘22’ collar badge to the 22nd Battalion CEF (Babin E.22, Charlton 22A-83) Maker marked Tiptaft B’ham on the reverse. The 22nd battalion was a French speaking battalion raised in Quebec with mobilization headquarters at St.Jean effective 15th March 1915. The battalion sailed for England May 20th 1915 where it was assigned to the 5th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Canadian Division serving in this capacity for the duration of WWI. Please For new bidders not familiar with my descriptions, all items that I sell are in original condition appropriate for their age with original fasteners in place. Any replaced lugs or fasteners, wear or other damage is noted. All scans are of the actual item being offered for sale.
