CANADIAN ROYAL VISIT / BOER WAR MEDALLION 1901 You are viewing and possibly bidding on a Canadian Medallion issued for the Royal Visit of the Duke and Dutchess of Cornwall and York, also given out at the Presentation of Queens South Africa War Medals to the Canadians. Face has the effegy of the Duke and Dutches with the logo T.R.H. The Duke and Dutchess of Cornwall and York, and Royal Visit 1901, the Reverse has the Canadian Coat of Arms with a Member of the Canadian Mounted Rifles or Lord Strathcona's Horse and a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment, with the logos, In South Africa (Canada) 1899 - 1900 and For Crown and Empire. N ot rare but not common either. See plate 376 and 377 in the Boer War Memorabilia, The Collectors Guide by Peter Oosthuizen. White Metal or Low Quality Silver. 2 1/4 Inches.
