This auction is for one lovely open work plate, oval it measures approx. 9.75" x 8.75" and stands1.25" deep. In good condition showing outer edge roughness with small glaze flakes. The bottom rim doesn't show much age so it either was not used much or possibly a later example or reproduction, see close-ups? Any advice on how to tell would be appreciated.. All of which were once owned by Maxfield Parrish, the great American artist and his wife Lydia Parrish, author. They are all from the early 1800s and some have different underneath finishes showing a collection period over a few decades. We are splitting up the service into groups by sizes because of the sheer weight of the individual pieces. Each different listing with have complete descriptions, keep in mind all are slightly different in size, hand painted with original irregularities, flea marks associated with 150 + years old Canton Exports.
