Item: An early canvas backed small book titled "Bradshaw’s Railway Companion" containing maps of London , Birmingham , Bristol , Liverpool and Manchester etc., also with timetables fares etc. Publishers – Bradshaw’s Railway Information Office Date 1844 72 numbered pages + Index + advertisements, almanac for 1844 and repeat copies of maps found earlier in the book It contains 2 loose maps of London East and West. Also fixed maps of London & Birmingham Railway, London & South Eastern, Railways in Lancashire , Manchester & Birmingham Railway, Birmingham & Gloucester Railway, Western Railway, Manchester & Midland Counties, Leeds , Colleges Halls & Churches in Oxford , Bristol , Manchester , Plan of Liverpool. Also contains a pullout map of Railways in England & Wales, another pullout map of Railways around London and another large pullout map of railways in existence in 1844. Condition: This is not in good condition as nearly all the pages are loose with browned edges. Interior is quite clean. Outside cover is stained. A couple of pages are torn with some losses (one on a plain page and the other on an advertisements page). Small tears to some edges of maps. There are 72 numbered pages but I can not guarantee all the maps are present. All my items are very well packaged to arrive safely. Buyer to pay postage and packaging costs.
