Capehart Turnover Record Changer. Model 41-E. For the late N or P series Tuner / Pre amp Models. CAPEHART 41-E Turnover or 'Flipchanger' Turntable. This is the record changer mechanism used in the Capehart 400 N and P series consoles - I believe it will also work with the late 100 series too. This changer looks practically new. I had purchased this to 'build up' an empty Capehart 400 series cabinet I had. I have since abandoned that idea-I have far too many other projects and not enough time or room in my shop. When I purchased this I was told that the changer basically functioned. It is complete and very clean. The 3 mercury switchs are intact and function. The cartridge needs to be replaced, and they are available. The plastic decorative insignia that reads Capehart is missing from the top of the record magazine. It is not necessary in any way to the functionality of the unit. The changer ought to be lubed, serviced and adjusted before installation. T is an excellent Capehart turntable restorer in the Southern CA area that I can recommend...t is also a website dedicated to these fine machines with literature available. Rider's Perpetual also has the schematic for the electrical portion of this changer, which I will provide (only for the winning bidder). This changer was improved over the 16 E turntables. It is completely self contained with 2 separate, independent motors...one drives the turntable and the other operates the turnover changer mechanism. I noticed a Tuner/Pre Amp, Amp and speaker set listed on ebay that might work with this changer. From the pictures it appears to be a from P series unit but I can't be sure. You may want to inquire with the owner of that auction for model particulars. I recently saw a completely restored and refinished 406N 'ADAM' fetch over $5000. Basic dimensions of the unit are 20"l x 26"w x 17.5h I prefer local pickup but I will ship via UPS or FedEx. This item must be professionally foam packed for shipping. Packing, shipping and insurance for this is a flat $100 to anyw in CONTIGUOUS 48 US States. No international shipping. If you want to have someone else pick up and ship for you, that's fine-it will not be packed, so no charge other than the final auction price. But I assume no responsiblity after pickup. Sold 'as is', sale is final. Payment thru Paypal or Credit Card only, within 48 hours of auction ending please. If picking up, payment must be made BEFORE pick up. This will probably take me about 5 days to get packed and ship after the auction ends. Feel free to email with any questions about this changer. But, I will not reveal the reserve price.
