GORGEOUS CAPODIMONTE STATUE
This is an absolutely gorgeous Capodimonte vintage statue. The detail is exquisite. The statue shows a young boy kneeling in a wooden 2 wheel cart next to a vat of grapes holding a purple grape in his fingers. A grape vender stands next to a tree holding a bunch of grapes in his left hand. T is a donkey in the foreground, a basket filled with grapes by the man's feet and a frog on the ground. I have taken over 20 pictures to show as much detail as possible. I obtained this great item from an estate auction. I do not know the history other than it is exquisitly detailed. Also, I am no expert on Capodimonte. I think this is a beautiful statue. The pictures will have to tell the story for you. It is Hallmarked with the ''N'' and signed by the artist. The title of this piece is, ''La Vendemmia''. The statue is marked on the base. It measures 12'' high and 16'' wide and is a very hefty statue weighing over 12 pounds. This is a lovely detailed and substantial Capodimonte collectible. When I checked the piece over I see a small pin that is on the wheel of both hubs that has been broken. I have a picture to show this. It is small and can be easily overlooked. T are no other flaws that I could see. This is a truly lovely and large work of art. THE SILVER PIN THAT GOES THROUGH THE HUB IS BROKEN.
