CAPODIMONTE REUGE CAROUSEL LIPSTICK/CIGARETTE HOLDER MUSIC BOX ~ MADE IN ITALY Offered for you consideration is this beautiful Capodimonte Reuge carousel lipstick/cigarette holder music box. It stands approximately 14.5" tall by 7" wide. These music boxes were originally made years ago for women to hide their cigarettes in! When you push the button on the side music begins to play, the six doors slowly open revealing a lyre in the center of the gazebo like carousel. As the doors rotate you see red felt pockets and brass musical instruments, the doors pause for a few seconds and then rotate back to the other side and the music ends when they close. The raised detail of the cherubs is precious. On the top t is a brass cherub playing an instrument. "REUGE MUSIC" is embossed on the winder. The red label reads "MADE IN ITALY". T are a few very small surface scratches. The music box works great. A wonderful addition to a collection.
