NOTE: Starting bid of $9.99 with NO RESERVE .... You are bidding on a "TRICK DOG " CAPRON BANK, Circa 1950s. Capron banks are HARD TO FIND ! (Similar to Book of Knowledge banks, but more scarce).Place a coin in the Dog's mouth, press the lever on the side and the dog jumps through the hoop and deposits coin in the red barrel. Underside of bank is marked " REPLICA OF AN ORIGINAL OF THE JAMES D. CAPRON COLLECTION." This is NOT a new or recent reproduction bank ..... this language was printed on all of the banks produced in the 1950s by James Capron. Item measures 8 5/8" long, 3" wide, 7 1/8" tall.Condition of the entire bank (with exception of Clown's lower legs) is Excellent to Near Mint. The paint is totally worn on the bottom legs of the clown, both front and back. Have to assume that is wear from picking it up, because the screws that are holding the clown in place are original, with original blue paint over them (so the clown has not been replaced). Other than that, t are a few paint dings, but overall very nice and clean. Original paint. In working condition. WE HAVE A VARIETY OF QUALITY ITEMS LISTED - CHECK OUR AUCTIONS!
