Stan Lee's signature on a book that is instantly meaningful, puts the value of this comic through the roof. I saw people selling these for $400-$999. This is the McGuinness Variant. With the upcoming movie, expected to hit theaters in 2010, Captain America, while dead, has never been more popular and when the movie comes out (and as Stan is always an extra in these movies, he isn't just the Man, who started it all, but an actor in the movie as well, That is bang for your buck), the value of this comic is likely to rise. I would hold on to it, but my daughter has this absurd notion that she should get presents for Christmas, so I am reluctantly parting with some of my long term investments. This one is I believe the rarer, more sought after Variant, the other is signed by Stan Lee....nuff said. If someone wins both, I will not only give free shipping to that person, but will also take 10% off the total cost for the two combined. Something to think about. The Buy it Now option is down on the Stan Lee signed copy, but still available on this one. The other has reached its reserve price, so it wil sell.
