Carcharocles megalodon Giant White Shark Tooth Miocene – Calvert Fm. Calvert Cliffs, MD Here is a small Megalodon Tooth from the Miocene sediments of Calvert Cliffs in Maryland. This Carcharocles megalodon tooth comes from the extinct giant white shark. It was collected in the 1980’s (about 30 years ago) and comes from an old collection. This appears to be a lower front tooth of a younger individual, measuring about 75 mm in slant height. The serrations are sharp but there is some damaged serrations and damage at the bottom of the enamel on one edge. I would far prefer this tooth to the many badly worn ones you see for sale that have been reground and polished. Specimen #: 8.27.13-3 Payment must be received within 6 days of auction closing. I can combine shipments where it will not risk damage to the specimens. For combined shipments, please allow me to bill you to minimize transactions. Priority mail is my preferred option for most pieces. The USPS supplies the boxes, the shipments are tracked, and the short handling time and rapid delivery are a big plus for customers. For some international shipments Priority can be quite expensive. In some cases First Class International makes more sense. If you are an international buyer, seriously interested in the item, contact me and I can estimate First Class options. For some
