Up for bid is this card of 29 unique old buttons titled "Transportation." This neat card of old buttons was found in the basement of a Methodist Home in Warren, IN circa 1949, according to the couple I purchased them from. The card measures 9" x 12". The largest button, (Airplane) measures approx 1 3/4", the smallest ones are a bit smaller than a dime, aprox. ½" in dia. Buttons include:Buttons #1, #20, and #25 , and #27 are small different buttons of "Queen Elizabeth's Coach." #1 is a rounded square;#20 has a silver (does not cling to magnet) ring with coach on a pearl background - it is the one captioned "Queen Elizabeth's coach". #25- small brass - and #27 - metal, coach not as ornate.#2 --The white pearl button horse pulling coach horse has broken front leg..#3 is metal --has a horse and cross ;#4 horse with a rider and seems to be bakelite, plastic??#5 - gold brass button has an airplane with propeller and 12 stars across the top of button. #6 The one titled Jinrikisha. This old button is decorated with tiny gold flowers and what looks to be the top of a house? and has the guy pulling the cart with the lady with umbrella standing out.
