5 Cards Vintage Ribbon Trim Passementerie Two Metallic

Up for auction are five cards of vintage ribbons and trims, from approximately 1940 to the present. All are in extremely good and very clean condition. I've noted the country of origin if it is listed on the label, guessed at several with French words but no country listed or no label still attached. These are some of the first cards of around 30 more, in addition to many vintage velvets on reels, as well as vintage silk, rayon and metallic trims, that I'll be listing in the next few weeks. Please check back and see what else I will be offering. If you need any additional information regarding these ribbons, please ask and I'll do my best to answer. Keep in mind that some of the ribbons and trims will be from the early part of the last century and will not necesarily have any labels left or still be wrapped on their original cards. Starting on the left - this is a charming baby pink trim that has a silver metallic lettuce edge. It is a bit over 1/4" wide and is 4 yards long. The last 12-14" is a separate piece that was pinned onto the end, so there are two lengths of this trim. The second trim is a soft looking mauvish/pink with medium beige, and there is a medium blue thread which runs under the top cord, forming a design just above the lower loops, and also runs through the loops as well. It is about 3/4" wide and is 6 and 1/2 yards long. The third is a cream or ecru trim that has loops at intervals of one inch. It is just under 1/2" wide and is 30 yards long. I noticed part of one of the inner lengths looks slightly more beige, probably is some storage discoloration or dust. The fourth is a gorgeous almost rosette trim that features soft lavender and pale green with metallic gold threads running through the lengths. There is a reddish orange cord enhancing this as well, and the overall effect is one of richness. It is 3/8" wide and 7 and 1/2 yards long. The last is a newer ombre ribbon. It changes from a darker lavender to lighter lavender and then to grey, then to a thin line of yellowish beige. There are yellow picots on one edge. It is 3/8" wide and 9 yards long. Payment expected within three days of auction close.
