Youare bidding on a Carl Barks Signed Scooge Mcduck Fantasma Wrist Watch Limited Edition to only 500 in the world. I recieved this watch In 1997 as a present from my grandmother as when I was collecting watches, after recieving it years later she said she payed over $500 dollars for it, it has never been worn on, and the plastic protector is still on the dial of the watch. Watch was stored in a smoke free enviroment. Comes with the beautiful wrist watch, The Gold collecting case in the shape of a brick of gold, and the certificate of authenticity with Carl Barks signature on it. The condition of the watch to me is Great condition prob perfect, I dont see anything wrong with it, but I don't know how to rate these things so, All I can give you is my word and the Pictures posted it comes (as is). What you see in the pictures is what you recieve. It was bought at the disney convention back in 1997, and it was bought for a high amount of money, So im sure of the value of this watch is high, Carl Barks passed away august 25th 2000 at the age of 99, and he will never be forgotten as one of the best artists of Disney. Only reason im getting rid of it is because its been stored for the past 10 years and I have no use for it anymore, Im getting married and could use the money to fund that. The certificate of Authenticity reads Born in 1901 in Merril, Oregon, Carl Barks has spent most of his life drawing, illustrating, painting, and telling stories about ducks. Disney Ducks have always been the favorites. In 1935, Carl joined Walt Disney Productions as a storyboard artist,gag man and writer. He worked on more than 30 Donald Duck shorts, as well as Fantasia and Bambi, before ultimately dedicating himself in 1942 to the art form which has made him famous: comic book stories and illustration. For many years, Carl was the preeminent Disney comic book artist and he is considered the father of the miserly Uncle Scrooge. I am pleased to have designed for the disney catalog, this original Scrooge Mcduck watch to commemorate the 50th birthday of Uncle Scrooge (1947-1997). It is by certified that the enclosed timepiece is one of a numbered limited edition of 500. This was acutally signed by Carl Barks, very Rare, hard to find Have a Great Time piece of Disney History
