Carl Forslund Carved Quail This is a beautifully hand carved and hand painted quail (or partridge?) in excellent condition. It has no damage that I can find. It is colorfully painted in tan and brown, with accents in black and white. It measures 8" from beak to tail and stands 7.5" tall. It has a stamp on the bottom that says "Carl Forslund Quaint American Furniture Grand Rapids Mich". It is one of two coordinating Carl Forslund Quail I have for sale. Carl Forslund Furniture was a well-known furniture store for over 30 years, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan until the store closed in the 1970's. The carvings were offered in the furniture store and sometimes given as a promotional gift with furniture purchased. They carried a variety of many species of game birds. This bird is from my father's estate, originally inherited from my grandparent's estate. My grandmother was a Carl Forslund fan and had collected both furniture pieces and carvings. I have 7 total Carl Forlund carved birds to post, so check out my other items for sale for some of his other pieces. They are highly sought after and would make a great addition to a collection. I start the bidding low, so don't miss out on this opportunity! I accept Paypal only for payment, which is expected within 3 days of auction end. If I have not received either payment or word from you regarding payment, item may be relisted and you may be reported to Ebay as a non-paying bidder, sorry. I ship Priority Mail to the US only.
