M W CLASSIC CAMERAS CARL ZEISS JENA 210mm f6.3 ANASTIGMAT - EARLY PROTAR TYPE BRASS LENS . A compact early Protar type large format lens, dating from the years before the first world war. Coverage would be to 5x4, possibly greater. Apertures are set by means of a revolving ring, but it seems the iris blades are no longer in place - or if they are in place, they're no longer connected. Which means the lens cannot be stopped down as it is. Optically the lens is in very good clean condition, considering its age - the glass looks bright and clear, with no signs of clouding or scratches - just the usual dust specs and a few tiny bubbles in the glass. It should produce sharp results. Brass housing is in average/good condition showing signs of normal use - some slight surface dulling due to age in a few areas, but no signs of heavy wear, and no dings or dents. Fixing hole required; 5.5cm dia. Lens is 5.5cm deep, and the glass elements are around 4cm dia each. Ser No 16136, with German patent number DRP 56109 engraved on barrel. We ship using DHL * - fully insured ; £ 8 UK; Europe, £22; USA , and the Rest of the World £28. Payment to be made by £UK Sterling bank draft, £UK Sterling International Money Order, UK cheque drawn on UK bank. We also accept PayPal, VISA, Mastercard, JCB.
