� This pair of birds is carved from, I think,� basswood.� Very lightweight.� The whole piece is 9x9x 4 1/2.� Each bird is approx. 6 /12" from head to tail.The legs, I believe, are metal.� One of them has a very� slight separation at the body, shown in pix.(It is not something that is noticeable unless specifically looking for it).� glass eyes. � One is holding a berry in it's mouth.� The "branch" the birds are perched on is mounted to a beautiful piece of wood.� It is dated, signed and numbered on the bottom.� Dec. 16-95� � No.83� W.A. Carlson� and it has W in a circle for a mark.� Very nice piece for the bird collector.� Never to early to be thinking of Christmas. Please check the other items in my store.
