Frederick Carlton Ball 1911-1992. World listed potter who was a pottery teacher at Universities in California, Washington, Illinois , Wisconsin etc, He was also also an author of books on pottery. His works has been been in the Smithsonian, Metropolitan Museum of art etc. This is for nicely sgraffito decorated hand signed F. C. Ball vase . This vase is 7" tall and about 5" wide. This is in Great Condition. I do not see any cracks or chips. Mr. Ball was a very famous North American artist recognized nationally and around the world for his skill and artistry. He has had many exhibits of his pots traveled around the world to show his style and technique. Many people traveled from all over the world to study with him and to learn how he did his work. He worked with Bernard Leach, Aaron Bohrad and Shoji Hamada . Thank You and
